Adastra Applications
Mobile Data
For many years now Adastra has streamed and retrieved information to and from mobile clinicians using its own integral Aremote capability. Aremote supports the delegation of encounter information to duty doctors, community nurses and emergency care practitioners, and functions very efficiently and cheaply by streaming data over conventional GSM networks. This delegated and therefore off line approach to communicating with mobile staff provides for operational stability and avoids the disruption of continuity and database symmetry problems associated with on-the-move communication over GPRS. As Adastra's v3 development enters its final phase, Aremote has been rewritten to support the clinical management features now established in the main v3 application. A reduced functionality version for smaller devices, Pocket Aremote, has also been developed to support mobile healthcare professionals who are not operating from a dedicated vehicle with fitted computer.
